Exhibition: Stops are where lives of different people who do not notice each other, intersect. Maybe the only thing they shared was the fact that they came from different directions, but were headed the same way. I started my work called ‘DURAK’ in 2015 during my commute between my home and workplace. The more I saw the very different, yet in some ways, very similar people that waited at bus stops, the more my interest in stops grew, and as a result I started observing the people and stops, and photographing them. With the Güvenpark explosion in Ankara, stops became an internalized theme for me. I think that stops are an important dynamic of cities, and in this day and age, they are the point of intersection of so many people.
