Exhibition: A person walks, gets tired, stops, looks around and wants to sit even just a second. In nature a person can meet this need with a stone, rock, soil or a piece of tree but the only object meets them in city is a BENCH.
Bench suggests a platform that urban people can communicate with themselves, city and urban people while they are equal, relaxed and rest even for a while.
Bench even when it is spare it continuous to host crumbs left by people and animals.
There is always a life around a bench and waits for us to relate with yourself, your friends and the city…
Biography: She was born in Keskin in 1971. She started studying photography at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts Photography Department in 1995. She completed her education Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Photography Department in 2000. She finished her M Sc. by completing her thesis themed ‘Usage and Position of Photography in Events of Community Centres (1932-1951)’ in 2004. She carried out her first personal exhibition called ‘Bozkırda’ (At Steppe) and book at Photography Centre in 2008. She hold her second personal exhibition named ‘Karşılaşmalar’ (Encounters) at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Tophane-i Amire Sarnıçlar gallery in 2008. In 2010 she was advisor and editor during the openning of Espas publication and bookstore. She is working as research assisstant at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of Photgraphy. She continues her studies in the field of documentary photography.
